Our School

Sequim High School is a public four-year high school accredited through the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. It has an enrollment of over 1,000 students and is the only high school serving the town of Sequim. The Sequim Alternative School is associated with Sequim High School. Approximately 100 students participate in Running Start, a state program whereby qualified juniors and seniors may enroll in the local community college and receive both college and high school credits. Students can also receive credit attending classes offered by the Skills Center. For more information, please contact the Counseling Office.

Sequim High School operates on a traditional two-semester system with a six period day and grants credit on that basis. Twenty-two credits are required for graduation. Three major additions to the graduation requirements for the graduating Class of 2008 and beyond have been added: a Certificate of Academic Achievement, Senior Project and a High School Plus Educational Plan. These three requirements must be satisfactorily completed in addition to the completion of the required credits before a diploma will be issued.
