Spectator Attendance UPDATE

Due to the increase of COVID-19 cases, the Sequim School District will be limiting spectators for basketball and wrestling until further notice.

Sequim High School

  • No visiting spectators will be admitted.
  • Home athletes will be given 3 passes to each game to give to parents and family members.
  • Admission will still be charged, but all spectators must be given a pass in addition to purchasing a ticket.
  • Most parents who purchased a season pass or a punch card should receive a pass from their child, but if you do not receive a pass, we will honor those current season passes at the gate.
  • Students will not be admitted with an ASB card.
  • For fans that wish to watch the games from home, we will livestream our games on our YouTube channels:
    • Boys Basketball – type “Sequim High School Boys Basketball” into the search bar in YouTube.
    • Girls Basketball – type “Sequim High School Girls Basketball” into the search bar in YouTube.

Sequim Middle School

  • No visiting spectators will be admitted.
  • No spectators at all can watch JV games.
  • Home athletes will be given 2 passes to each game to give to friends, parents and/or family members.
  • Admission will still be free, no food or drink allowed in the gym.
  • Students will only be admitted with a ticket.

Sequim community we encourage you to continue cheering our teams on by watching the High School games via livestream available to you on YouTube. The Middle School games are currently not livestreamed, but we are working on plans to have that available in the near future.

Dear Parent/Legal Guardian:

In response to the threat of HIV/AIDS to our population, the Washington state Legislature mandated that a program of prevention education be presented to students yearly beginning with the 5th grade and continuing through 12th grade. The Sequim School District #323 has adopted an appropriate program for HIV prevention education under the direction of the District Nurse, using school approved videos and information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Learn360, supplied by the Olympic Educational Service District.

To preview the District’s HIV prevention education program and videos that your student might see, please access the school and grade specific curriculum through the Sequim School District Home Webpage (http://sequimschools.org/instruction/h_i_v_- _aids_curriculum).

Following your preview of the materials, families who wish to have their child excused from participation in the HIV Prevention Program may sign a release form: Parental Request to Excuse Student from HIV Prevention Education, (form provided in the Sequim School District HIV Education Overview at: http://sequimschools.org/instruction/h_i_v_-_aids_curriculum) and submit it, complete with their signature to the Sequim District Nurse: Sonja Bittner at sbittner@sequimschools.org. You may also drop off a printed copy to your school’s Health Room.

STATE LAW PROVIDES THAT A PARENT OR GUARDIAN MUST PREVIEW THE MATERIALS BEFORE THEY CAN HAVE THEIR CHILD OR LEGAL WARD EXCUSED FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE HIV PREVENTION PROGRAM.
