College in the High School
Did you know that you can register for college credits for FREE at Sequim High School? Through the College in the High School program students are able to earn college credits and take college level courses at the high school with their peers. This program allows opportunities for students to grow more in-depth in their knowledge, writing and ultimately be better prepared for college. SHS provides courses that students can earn free credit for through Eastern Washington University and University of Washington. College in the High School courses transfer to two and four year universities, not only in Washington. Private and homeschool students can also take advantage of this free program at SHS.

Difference between College in the High School and Running Start
1. First difference is where the courses are offered. College in the High School courses are all offered at the High School in person. Running Start courses are offered at local community colleges.
2. The second difference is cost. There is no cost for any College in the High school courses at SHS to earn college credit. Running Start tuition is funded, but there are associated fees each quarter with Running Start that families are responsible for.
